The Triton Shield
Anti-Piracy System (pat. pending) was developed in conjunction with International Maritime Security Network, LLC. (IMSN) as a multi-layered
defense package meant to DETECT, DETER, and DEFEND against piracy on the
high seas. The system incorporates several IMSN/IMSS services which include
training, education, technological deterrents, hard security, and the
originally-designed, custom-made, non-lethal, Triton Shield Device
of the system starts in the classroom with IMSNís Piracy Defense Course
to teach crewmembers how to efficiently detect and evaluate threats.
In addition, IMSN/IMSS also provides high-tech methods to detect any ships
that enter a one mile perimeter around an IMSN/IMSS client ship. With the
Triton Shield APS, a ship will be able to determine the difference
between a fishing boat and a pirate craft, day or night.
course, detection alone is never enough. The Triton Shield APS was
developed with maximum deterrence in mind. IMSN/IMSS provides several
options to harden vulnerable areas by updating passive security measures
on board a ship. Meanwhile, the innovative Triton Shield Device is
designed to create an active deterrent around the perimeter of a ship.
While an IMSN/IMSS team will monitor the initial installation aboard every
ship, the device is simple, easy-to-use, and easy-to-maintain.
should deterrence fail, the Triton Shield APS includes an armed
security team as the last line of defense. All IMSN/IMSS hard security team
members are fully vetted and come from military and or law enforcement
backgrounds. IMSN/IMSS teams operate under the principles of force
continuum to ensure that all options are exhausted before lethal force
